A person’s reasoning for becoming a public relations professional can be very different from someone else’s. Chloe Tooson, a freshman from Westland, Mich., majoring in public relations and music industry management enjoys the versatility of the field.
Chloe came here from John Glenn High School with big dreams. Ferris felt like home to her. When she came to Ferris she began to get involved in registered student organizations like Ferris State PRSSA.
Chloe has always wanted to work in the entertainment industry. With not being too picky where in the entertainment industry she wanted to work, she just knew that she wanted to be “behind the scenes.”
“I loved letting everyone know when and what events were about in High School,” said Chloe. “I realized that PR was the right thing for me to go into.”
Chloe is a member of the client relations team in PRSSA, and enjoys being able to gain real hands-on experience. When she isn’t working on school work and doing stuff for her clients, Chloe enjoys everything about music; listening to it, playing it, the “whole nine yards.” She also enjoys social media, drawing, and getting tattoos.
When she graduates, Chloe would like to work for a venue or theatre doing public relations or a music/entertainment public relations firm.
“My dream job would be doing PR for a theatre on Broadway,” she said.
